sweet endings

i must admit that i was surprised when i walked in the office this morning and saw texas tall. i honestly thought the boy would be gone by now.

a couple of hours later i saw him pacing the corridor looking sharp in a tie that he had just put on. it was then that i realised that his final presentation marking the end of his internship here was today.

the timing presented itself. and i decided it was now or never.

so i started a conversation commenting on his tie and asking him bout his presentation. we wound up having a pretty good and actual conversation. he brought up the whole single child thing again. he must be mildly obessed with it. or else that's his token conversation starter. thankfully i'm better at finding conversation topics. we chatted bout internships as he was thinking bout where to go for his internship next year. we decided that perhaps switzerland might be a good place. i found out that he's majoring in finance and is actually from texas as opposed to just studying there. i also found out that he's a young age of 21. gosh do i know how to pick the young boys or what? haha! well at least he's right at my lowest age limit of 21.

we were in the midst of a great conversation when he had to leave... so he extended his hands and gave me a hearty double-handed handshake. and that's the last i'll probably ever see of him. but at least i got that conversation. so i'm good. it's pretty easy to have a conversation with him. dang why didn't we have one of those earlier?
