natural progression

last night i met up with a guy i have been emailing for a while via the new online dating site. honestly i can't say that the emails were all that engaging or that i was even really keen on meeting up, but when he asked, i figured that it seemed like a natural progression from the emails.

the engineer-turned-teacher turned out to be cuter and less nerdy than i expected from seeing his picture. he seems nice though perhaps a wee bit on the quieter side... but it's not as though we didn't know what to say to each other and had all this awkward silence.

on the whole the meeting up went relatively well. we had dinner and watched a movie. it didn't feel like a date date, more like a meeting up. then again i hardly ever say anything is a date just 'coz i don't really like that word.

it's still too early to say if he has any potential... but somehow i wasn't particularly blown away. i guess if he contacts me again, i'll meet up with him... but i don't feel like being particularly proactive in this one.

i think a part of me is still hurting and thinking of dj guy.

dating is good. it will give you a better idea of what you like & don't like about partners.

You never know, sometimes people are quieter when they first get to know someone.
