let's just howl at the moon

i'm not really big on halloween parties mainly 'coz i don't really like the idea of dressing up in a costume (i wouldn't even be able to think of what to wear!) and i don't much like the crazy crowds either. that said, with halloween falling so conveniently on a friday night, it was hard to pass up on heading out anyway. unfortunately i had a long and early start on saturday.

so after last friday, i decided to "take the plunge" and text the swedish guy the next day. i guess i didn't feel like playing any of those 3-day-rule games. he asked me out and we decided to meet up on halloween.

i must admit that i wasn't really interested in him per se. i mean i guess i kinda figured that since he seemed nice enough, i'd give it a shot. if nothing, perhaps we could still be friends. hence even after i agreed to meet up with him, i wasn't sure if it was a date or it was just meeting up or if i was necessarily excited by it all.

that said, as the day drew nearer, i was starting to be slightly more excited. probably 'coz he was pretty proactive in planning and had booked us tickets for a comedy show.

it was a new place that i hadn't been to but i would definitely go back. the comedy show was hilarious. and the comedy live band after that was uber multi-talented, too funny and in general really awesome. and of 'coz there were all the assorted halloween costumers out and about. all in all i had such a great time.

sure, he and i didn't really get a chance to talk much. and there wasn't any physical contact beyond friendly hello and goodbye cheek kisses. but i think as far as a "date" or a whatever-it-may-be goes, it was definitely fun.

i left shortly after midnight and he decided to join his friends in another club and so we parted ways. but he texted me soon after...

the swedish guy: hey! thanks for a very nice evening. had a great time. hope to see you soon again. good night.

yeah, i don't mind seeing him again either. we'll see i suppose...
