at least make sure the cake is good to begin with

i was supposed to have met up with the ungirly hottie bout 2 weeks ago. but since the impromptu arrival of her new guy where he decided to drop by to this little side of the world while on his extended vacation, meeting her pretty much flew outta the window.

this weekend however, she decided to throw a small house party where i got to see her (relatively) new place for the first time since she bought it and moved in bout 3 months ago. as it so happens, her new guy was still there before he would eventually move on in his travels 'coz as he said so in his own words, 2 weeks in one place is enough before it's time to move on to another place.

he seemed nice enough. but somehow, i didn't like him. my first instinct would be to say that he seemed sleazy but at the same time that seemed a lil harsh. but there was undeniably something bout him that just didn't sit well with me. i couldn't understand why the ungirly hottie would have been so taken in by him. though that in itself didn't show that night. in a moment where we got a chance for a more private chat, she admitted that she didn't think that she would miss him when he leaves 'coz nothing that happened between them was real. he was just a fun times guy but when the going gets tough, she would have been annoyed by him.

i'm glad that she hasn't completely lost her mind. as predicted, he's simply not the kind of guy to settle down and definitely not someone to settle down with. and i have to admit that it freaked me out a lil when at one point when he was sitting down and i was standing next to him chatting in a group, he reached over and started grabbing and tickling my tummy. i'm not overly conservative in some ways and consider myself rather huggy veggy but i kinda think that's a strangely intimate thing to do when i only just met him and he's dating my friend.

yeah maybe sleazy is the right word afterall.

Yes definitely sleazy. A friend once told me that a guy that had been chatting to her friend then approached her to say that he thought he'd try and upgrade while the other girl was at the toilet!!!

Thanks for all your comments on my blog. I'm loving hearing the perspectives from both males and females on my romance!

rapunzel: he thought he'd try and upgrade?? that is such a terrible thing to say and not to mention absolutely ridiculous!
no worries, i love to hear bout other people's romance too haha!
hmm that's strange that you can't follow my blog. i didn't change any settings...

anomylous: yes i too think it was freaking weird. especially since there wasn't any need at all to suddenly just tickle my tummy. the oddest thing is that i saw him do the exact same thing to the ungirly hottie who he's dating/sleeping with so i would have initially thought it's a more intimate thing to do. apparently not for him!

Why are so many men creepy? I've been having the hardest time explaining to some recent interests that when they go from telling me I sound like a "real woman, not a girl" to asking if they can join me in bed, it makes them seem like dirty old men.

While you never know for SURE...I have to admit, sounds a little sleazy.

dater at large: i have the hardest time convincing a guy friend that he inviting every new date to his place to hang out (even if it doesn't necessary mean anything more) sounds sleazy. but then again there seems to be plenty of women who fall for that and think that means he's really interested. until they realise that they are one of the many...
